Authorities in the central German city of Fulda said they shot dead a young Afghan refugee who went on a violent rampage in a bakery early Friday.
The 19-year-old supposedly assaulted the motorist of a delivery truck at the pastry shop at 4:20 am (regional time), before smashing the store’s windows, regional authorities and prosecutors said.
As cops showed up on the scene, the boy flung stones at the officers.
Authorities subsequently opened fire, killing the male.
His intentions, in addition to the circumstances of the attack were as yet unclear, included authorities.
A representative for the prosecution service told AFP that there were currently no indication that the attack was because of political reason.
