Tina Turner scatters son’s ashes in her ‘saddest moment as a mother’


Tina Turner has explained scattering her boy’s ashes as her “saddest minute as a mom”.

Craig Raymond Turner, who was the vocalist’s eldest boy, died from a gunshot injury in his house previously this month.

He is believed to have taken his own life.

Turner tweeted a photo showing her dropping a red rose into the sea, with her household next to her.

She composed: “My saddest minute as a mother. On Thursday, July 19 2018, I stated my final goodbye to my son, Craig Raymond Turner, when I collected with family and friends to spread his ashes off the coast of California.

” He was fifty-nine when he died so unfortunately, however he will always be my infant.”

The estate representative was pronounced dead at his home in Studio City, Los Angeles, on 3 July.

His post-mortem outcomes are yet to be released.

Turner had Craig when she was aged just 18. His dad was saxophonist Raymond Hill.

Craig later on took the name of Ike Turner, Tina’s first partner, when he embraced the youngster.

In a 2005 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Tina Turner said Craig was “a very psychological kid”.

Describing the abuse she suffered at Ike’s hands, and the resulting shiners, she stated Craig would “always look down in sadness”.

The Simply The Best vocalist has three other kids, Ronnie, 57 – her only kid with Ike, Ike Jr, 59, and Michael, 58, Ike’s kids from a previous relationship, who Turner raised as her own.
